When it comes to frozen sausages and burgers, caterers know they can trust us for quality and value.
We manufacture under both our Summit Foods name and customer private label, and our popular selection of standard products is backed up by a fully flexible bespoke development service for our larger customers. All our products are individually quick frozen (IQF) on our spiral freezers.
Sausages
Summit has been making sausages since the company was founded, and the recipes for some of our most popular lines have stayed the same from day one. We manufacture a range of catering sausages and pork sausages in 4s and 8s for fryers and breakfast menus.
In addition we supply a premium selection of sausages with a high meat content, especially suited to pub menus with recipes such as Pork & Leek, Lincolnshire, Cumberland and Directors’ Pork.
Burgers
We can offer a burger to suit any situation, and all our burgers are prepared on the premises from fully traceable and approved EU suppliers. Our range features beef, chicken and lamb burgers, and we can tailor-make your burger to your specific meat content, and using bespoke seasoning packs.
Our two longest serving products are:
Kingburger – a reliable, meaty burger that lends itself to any application, from plate to bun.
Showtime – A favourite with mobile caterers, this moist burger stands up especially well to cooking and holding, in readiness for final flashing off for service.
Cooked products
More and more, caterers are turning to fully cooked products for speed of service and food safety.
Our new cooked products facility means we can offer a versatile, bespoke service for all kinds of fully cooked meat products, with the emphasis on appearance, taste and value.
Our burgers and sausages are cooked on an advanced continuous contact belt oven made by Berief of Germany, which gives a highly consistent end product. The cooking process avoids the need for additional fats and oils for a healthier result, while retaining optimum flavour and succulence.
